R.W. Young and Associates, Inc. have a full time office and devoted staff to provide quality services in a timely, professional manner. The technology utilized is unsurpassed and includes Arc View GIS software. It provides computerized FSA aerial, soil mapping, topographical mapping, and flood map layering for all the counties we serve.
The support staff includes a full time administrative assistant who coordinates the day-to-day operations and safeguards quality control. Additionally, a staff sales analyst primarily focuses on market research and sales documentation within our area served. Experienced part time staff is called upon to facilitate large projects in a seamless manner. The real estate appraisal staff includes two professionals with diverse educational and experience background.

Robert W. Young, MAI, ARA founded the firm in 1986 and is its President. He has been directly involved in the real estate appraisal business in Western Illinois since 1976 after his graduation from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. In 1983, he received the ARA designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). In 1992, he received the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute (AI). Additionally, he became an Illinois Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in 1992, a mandatory licensing state. Durkin R. Young is a 2009 graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics. Previously, he was a part time sales analyst for the firm. Since graduation, he has taken a number of appraisal courses as he strives to achieve his state general certification. Presently, he has the Illinois Associate Real Estate Trainee Appraiser License and is an Associate member of the Appraisal Institute, both in good standing. Please refer to the Durkin R.
